Types of Leukemia Cancer
Here are the following different types of Leukemia majorly found among the patients worldwide - 

  • Acute lymphocytic leukemia (ALL) - It is the most common type of leukemia in children, but it also occurs in adults as well, especially after the age of 60. 
  • Chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) - The most common type of leukemia occurring in adults over the age of 55. Though it can also occur in younger adults as well. 
  • Acute myelogenous leukemia (AML) - Its a leukemia form which affects men more than women, also occurs more in adults rather than the children.  
  • Chronic myelogenous leukemia (CML) - This leukemia form also mostly affects adults. However, many people with CML have a gene mutation that responds to target cancer therapy.

The other major types of leukemia also include Hairy cell leukemia, Myelodysplastic syndrome and Myeloproliferative disorders.
